Pazinska jama
- A picturesque example of natural forces in karst terrain in Istria

FLORA – plant communities built mainly of deciduous trees and shrubs

- Microclimatic conditions inside the cave flora separated into two parts:
- Along the rim of the pit and on the sunny sides come mainly termofinog character types; various bush, rose, ordinary dubačac, fennel.
- In shaded, north and northeast of the pit exposed slopes come characters that species are extremely mesophyll; lupine roots, ordinary deer farm, dead nettle.
With them comes a multitude of ferns, mushrooms and Mach. Habitat around the pit has a large number of endangered and protected species of ground flora. Lily rose gold and Istrian are strictly protected, and the following are the native species are protected: woodland cyclamen, hepatica, a small evergreen, large cuckoo pint, ginger, Polish kotrljan, snowdrop, Cirnik, Solomon’s seal.
On the rocks around the pit, and on the walls around the castle, and the tower of the church of St. Nicholas, is often located a common eastern endemic species, pyramidal bellflower.
4. day: Rijeka or surrounding
UČKA – nature park

- 1300 different species, continental and Mediterranean species
FLORA – 70% forest cover
- Different forest communities due to the altitude: coastal beech forests, hornbeam and autumn moor grass, oak, sweet chestnut, oak and hornbeam forests, especially coniferous pine and spruce, submontane beech forests
- A large number of endangered and protected wild plant species: Spurge Laurel, canine tooth, golden lily
- Different grassland communities: hairy zmijak and spotted jastrebnjak, Grass and sage, sedge crljenac knapweed and yellow limestone with rare, endangered and protected plant species: yellow gentian, gentian cross, star lily, narcissus zvjezdastocvjetni
- Except grassland endangered species in smaller numbers inhabit other vegetation zones, crevices of rocks and screes, scrub, and wet and freshwater areas where we kind of brown elongated, delicate species is so far only found puddles along the area Rovozna
- Peak ridge rock inhabiting edelweiss, alpine primroses Učkarski doorbell
- A community developed poured endemic communities stijenjarske needles and nipples Chervil
FAUNA – rich and interesting
- 252 butterfly species (89 and 163 are butterflies night): Croatian golupka, Cleopatra Žućak, huge pumice rock, black-eyed Apollo, pearlescent debeloglavac
- 21 species of amphibians and reptiles and all are protected by law
- 167 species of birds: golden eagle, peregrine falcon, garden bunting, skylark, …
- Squirrels, dormouse, dormouse rocky, snow vole, marsh shrew, bats, wild goats, wild boar, deer, the occasional bear
